About the hospital wing already functioning.  
The work has been completed and building commissioned on 29.8.2010. The building includes ground + 3 floors. In Ground floor the various facilities such as 10 nos, of Consulting rooms, Reception, Pharmacy, Lab & ECG, X-Ray, Casualty etc. In first floor the various facilities such as 2 Nos of Operation Theatre, Predelivery & Labour room, 6 nos of pay ward rooms etc. In second floor the various facilities such as Dialysis unit, ICU, Ultra Sound scan, 13 nos of Pay ward rooms etc. In third floor the various facilities such as 4 nos. of general wards, Nurses Station etc.
Cardiac Thoracic and Blood bank Building.
  The building constructed as a Cardiac Block. It includes Ground floor + 3 Floors. Additional floor to the annexure building for Satellite Hospital at Vadackal, Alappuzha was also been constructed. In Ground floor various facilities included are Blood Bank, CCU, CT Scan, Ultra Sound Scan, CSSD, TMT, ECHO, Holter 3 nos of Consulting room, Medical gas plant, Lobby etc. In first floor various facilities included of General ward (18 Bed), Office Rooms, Medical store, medical Record room etc. In second floor various facilities included are CATH LAB,15 Nos of Pay Ward 3 Nos of Suit etc. In third floor various facilities included 2 nos of ICU (Medical & Surgical), Pay ward Rooms etc.

3. Sewage treatment Plant
         It has a capacity of 150 KLD (1.50lakh liter /day). The total amount for the work is Rs. 48.5 Lakhs.

 7) Construction of Specialty Block for Sagara Punnapra Co-operative Hospital
          The hospital is facing acute shortage of space and the rooms are being booked in advance. When Cardiology department start functioning the problem will increase. More branches like neurology is to be started to make the hospital self contained.
         The hospital is not having certain basic requirements such as Medical gas distribution system, power laundry, central sterilization unite Mortuary etc.
        Considering all the above requirements a new specialty block is proposed in eight floors and will cater the space requirements of the hospital in the coming future. The new block is proposed is eights floors (Ground floor +7) and is proposed in the eastern part of the present two blocks. This block can have separate entry and exit to front road if required.
        In general the building is proposed with four lifts, two stair cases common lobby in all seven floors centralized air conditioning facility for required areas etc. The total plinth area proposed comes to 10,736.6m2. For Ground floor the area is 1388.10m2 and for the remaining seven floors it is 1335.50m2 / floors. The detailed provision in each floor is as detailed below.

         In this floor provisions are made for pharmacy, Administrative store, central sterilization, power laundry, Mortuary, A C gas plant, medical gas plant and rooms for technical staff and general toilets for staff. The total plinth area of this floor is 1388.10m2.
First Floor
         In general this floor can be named as O P Floor. The provisions are for 14 O P Consulting rooms, Store for medical equipments one Major Operation Theater and Minor Operation Theatre. Provision is also made for toilets for Gents and Ladies those who are coming as Out Patients.
Second Floor
        In this floor there are 15 private rooms one general ward. Provision has also made for one major operation theatre and one Minor Operation Theatre, one general ward, three nurses room two for theatre one for general purpose is also made in this floor.
3rd and 4th floor
          In this floor there are twenty rooms and two general wards. General toilets for ladies and gents, utility room, nurses room etc is also provided.
5th ,6th and 7th Floor
          In all the three floors provision is made for 24 rooms in each floor and 5 rest rooms in each floor. Provision for nurses room and utility is also made.
        On completion of all the eight floors the block under proposal will have the following facilities.

  2. Centralized sterilization unit.
  3. Centralized power laundry
  4. Centralized A.C plant
  5. Mortuary
  6. 4 operation Theaters ( Two Major and Two Minor)
  7. Provision for 127 rooms for rent

  10. 15 rest rooms for duty medical Officers

         The total cost of the building based on present PWD rates comes to Rs.16.00 Crores and is inclusive of all the required amenities for the building such as water supply, electrification  Lifts, fire protection works,  complete networking, Medical gas line and its connection to all rooms etc.
         The building proposed is eight floors (Ground floor +seven) and in future if required two floors can be increased. The foundation proposed is bored piles considering the designs made in high rise building in Vandanam which 6 Kms away from this proposed site.
    On completion of the 8 floors the built up area will be 10,736.6m2 and as per the rough cost estimate the construction cost comes to Rs. 14,9000/m2 and is based on current schedule.
